Our Pastor and His Wife
The Reverend Charles E. McDaniel was born on February 23, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio to Mr. and Mrs. John H. and Annie P. McDaniel.
He was educated in the Dayton Public Schools and continued his education on a football scholarship to Tennessee Agriculture and Industrial University. He completed his education at Central State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology in June 1971. Attended Xavier Theological Seminary in 1993 and 1994. Retired teacher from The Dayton Public Schools, Sinclair Community College, ABE/GED teacher Montgomery Education And Pre-Release Center State of Ohio Department of Rehabilitation And Correction, a hear football coach at Colonel White High School Dayton Public School.
On June 1, 1963, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Odessa Jones of Camden, Mississippi. God blessed their union with two daughters Lolita, Qurita (Sue), three grandsons, Dandre, Donte and Michael and one great granddaughter Dominique.
He received Christ and was first ordained as a Deacon of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church on February 24, 1980. He later confessed his calling and received his license to preach on June 29th of that same year. He then became an ordained Minister on November 15, 1986, Since his conversion, he has severed diligently in the work of Lord as the Associate Minister of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. On February 15, 1993, he succeeded the late Artice L. Hobbs as Pastor of the Greater New Hope Family.
